Per the City of Memphis Human Resources Policy, vacation leave may be carried forward from one calendar year to the next for a maximum of (10) vacation days and will automatically carryover into 2023 for 8-hour shift employees,or (6) 24-hour shift days for Fire 56-hour per week employee with no exception required. Any additional days will be forfeited unless you submit an Exception form.
Additional carryover vacation will only be considered when an employee was unable to use their vacation due to being out on approved FMLA, ADAAA, OJI, or MILITARY LEAVE. (Documentation must be provided).
The deadline for submission is November 21 – December 30, 2022.
ALL 2022 vacation carried over into 2023 must be used by July 1, 2023, or those hours will be forfeited.
